Americana, offering delicious cuisine from the deep south of the USA, is extending a 20% food and drink discount card to all performing arts professionals.

As a new, independent, stylish Kitchen and Backstage Bar in the heart of Theatreland serving until 1 am, they want to support everyone in the artistic community, especially during the cost-of-living crisis.

The Restaurant’s prime location on Haymarket, next to The Theatre Royal Haymarket and diagonally opposite Phantom at His Majesty’s Theatre, provides a late-night haven for all Theatregoers, Actors, and staff in the West End.

With innovative Menus, Americana distinguishes itself, whether in the main Restaurant, Backstage Bar serving Craft Beers and delicious Cocktails, or for a secluded Lunch or Dinner (and Events) in the Dining Gallery.

The Restaurant is the latest venture of veteran London club and Bar supremo Stephen Less, who has launched a string of successful venues over a 50-year career.

He said: “I am so excited to be able to extend the 20% discount on food and drink to all arts professionals. The Theatre community has a special place in my heart and I want Americana to be the place for them to relax and socialise.”

“We want to keep that magic alive long after the curtain falls to support arts professionals, as Artists and Performers have brought joy to countless people and this discount is my way of saying thank you for their hard work and entertainment”.

Americana’s late-night license allows it to serve food and drink until 3am which has been a significant draw for art and Theatre professionals with its Southern American Kitchen and Backstage Bar, currently serving Monday to Saturday until 1am and 8pm on Sundays.

Stephen is keenly aware of the challenges facing the industry amidst the pandemic and rising living costs in response to the needs of well over 1,000 Actors/Musicians and Theatre staff working in London’s West End.

“The West End needed an exciting Restaurant and Bar with a late license catering for Theatregoers. They don’t want to rush into a place to find that it has just closed or that there are only 30 minutes to closing,” he added.

“We have spoken with the Actors and staff in Phantom, who are our regulars, and they said the area was crying out for something like this.” 

Americana has received rave reviews since opening eight months ago and I would like this discount to enable Americana to become a hub for creatives in the arts community and the Management look forward to welcoming you all.
